There are two ligaments that stabilize your dogs knee from front to
back, they are called the Cruciate Ligaments. The name comes from the
cross that they form within the knee. Some dogs tear these ligaments
when they jump up for frisbees and balls. Sometimes surgery is needed so
always see your vet first. It is especially important to have these
dogs adjusted by the animal chiropractor to keep the compensation stress
minimized and to prevent the other knee cruciate from tearing. Physical
therapy like underwater treadmill will also help.
