The psoas muscle in your dog stabilizes the spine and hip as well as is used for hip and leg extension. If your dog has a shortened stride on the hind end there may be a iliopsoas strain. Especially if your dog participates in explosive sports such as agility and flyball. Your dog may not want to jump as well.
The psoas muscle is powered by nerves from the lumbar spine so a subluxation in that region will affect the power supply to this muscle.
Chiropractic adjustments, cold laser, massage and some rehab exercises will help your dog.
