Back pain will always affect a small group of muscles in the spine called the Multifidi. These muscles are responsible for intricate movement between the vertebrae and keep the vertebrae from locking up and pinching nerves.
Chiropractic adjustments break the muscle spasm cycle within the Multifidi and thus unlock the vertebrae to allow less pressure on spinal nerves. Specific exercises regarding the core muscles is essential to rehab these muscles.
