Disc problems in dogs can vary from disc bulge to disc herniation as well as subluxation of the neck vertebrae. Your Vet will evaluate your dog and prescribe meds for pain and inflammation. Depending on if their is lameness a MRI may be suggested. If your dog has not lost reflexes, and is not lame then you may be able to use Ice Therapy as your first treatment. Check with your animal chiropractor and or vet as well. If the ice is not done properly you could further hurt your dog.
Chiropractic adjustments along with manual traction and exercises has helped many dogs when surgery is not needed.
