The piriformis is a hip stabilizing muscle. It is in the shape of a pyramid on it's side thus the name.
When you have low back subluxations and sacroiliac [pelvis]
subluxations this muscle will get tight. When I stretch our patients in
the butt area this is the muscle I am working on. Then the adjustment to
the hip is more complete. This muscle will limit most athletic activity
if not worked on.
