If your dog is experiencing diaherrea they will also have back pain. The repeated process of flexing the spine during bouts of diaherrea will subluxate the vertebrae and cause back spasms. The nerves that control the intestines also originate in the back [partic. low back] and these nerves will be irritated as well.
Chiropractic adjustments often help alleviate the diaherrea along with diet changes as well as ease the back pain. When the spine is adjusted those same nerves have less stress on them and will not misfire causing overstimulation to the intestines.
Some simple common causes of diaherrea in the fall are egg corns. Dogs who like to munch on egg corns will have intestinal upset. The egg corn has two toxic acids within them, one is gallic acid and the other is tannic acid.
