Hip pain in dogs especially after trauma- chiropractor for dogs south shore boston

Dogs can have hip pain after an accident or even as just a part of ageing. Left untreated this issue can cause arthritis. Your vet will usually give anti inflam meds and pain killers, with no follow up rehab. Most vets are not trained in rehab and chiropractic, so it is never mentioned.

There are a number of exercises and chiropractic adjustments available to improve recovery and minimize the arthritis. Arhritic dogs can be helped as well but it takes longer.

Remember that the hip will affect the knee and cruciate ligaments as well as the neck and shoulders due to weight transfer to the front end.
